How much does it cost to post an ad?
Nothing. Posting an ad on uClassifieds.net is FREE for all.

How many ads can I post touClassifieds.net?
There is no limit to the numberof ads you can post to uClassifieds.net.
Our only restriction is that you cannot post the same ad more than once a week.

How long will my ad be online for?
Provided that your ad does not breach our Terms of Use, it will be online for 60 days from the date of posting. At the end of this period, you will receive an email giving you the option to repost your ad. If you wish to do so, click on the link in that email. You will then be able to edit the ad if necessary and repost the ad for a further 60 days.

How do I post an ad?
Click on “Post a free ad” and follow the step-by-step instructions provided. You will be required to provide a category, subcategory and location for your ad. Your ad should be online within 2 hours of publication.

How do I include photos in an ad?
Click on the “Add Photos” button at the bottom of the posting page. You can include up to 4 photos in .JPG format. Each photo must not exceed 250kb. Find the photos that you wish to upload on your computer and click continue.

How do I repost my ad?
60 days after you have posted your ad you will receive an email giving you the option to repost your ad. If you wish to do so, click on the link in that email. You will then be able to edit the ad if necessary and repost the ad for a further 60 days.
If you wish to repost your ad before the expiry of this 60 day period, you must delete your existing ad first and then repost. You may not post a particular ad more than once a week.

How do I edit an ad?
Open the self-publication email you were sent when you first submitted your add. Click on the link to go to the ad management page and select edit. You can edit an ad as many times as you wish.
NB: Once your ad has been posted, you can only edit some of the text fields - price, title and description. You cannot add more photos.

How do I delete an ad?
Open the self-publication email you were sent when you first submitted your add. Click on the link to go to the ad management page and select delete.
NB: Your ad will be deactivated immediately (meaning buyers can’t contact you). However, it may take up to 5 days to be deleted from our list.

Where is my ad?
If you cannot find an ad you have posted, this may be because:
• You posted your ad less than 2 hours ago – it takes approximately 2 hours for your ad to appear online after posting.
• You are looking for the ad in the wrong category or have miscategorised the ad.
• You are looking under the wrong date – ads appear under the date on which they were posted.
• You are searching using a word that does not appear in your ad – make sure that the word you are looking for actually appears in your ad.
• Your ad has expired as it was posted more than 60 days ago – you will need to post the ad again.
• Your ad did not comply with our Terms of Use and so was deleted.
• Your ad was removed through flagging.

Where is my self-publication email?
If you have not yet received the email to publish your ad, it could be because:
• You exceeded your mailbox storage limit – try deleting some emails
• Your email filter has directed it to your bulk/junk/spam mail folder(s) – check these folders to make sure it’s not there!
• You have entered your email address incorrectly on the posting form – it only takes one typo!!
• Your email provider or ISP has implemented "spam filters" which we have found are often badly designed or mis-configured, sometimes resulting in uClassifieds.net emails being intercepted.
• There are network problems between ISPs which have delayed email transmission – try checking back later.
You can also have your self-publishing email(s) re-sent.
If all else fails, try using a different email account provider.

Why was my ad deleted?
There are 4 possible reasons:
• Your ad expired.
• Your ad breached our Terms of Use.
• Your ad was flagged by a sufficient number of people.
• You deleted the ad yourself.

I have posted my ad in the wrong category. How can I correct this?
You cannot change the category. You will need to delete the existing ad and post a new ad in the correct category.

I can't log in to my account. Why?
You may have entered the wrong username or password - it only takes one typo! Remember that passwords are case sensitive.

I have forgotten/lost my account password. How do I ask for a reminder?
Click on the “Forgot your password?” link. Enter your mail address and a password reminder will be sent to you.

How long does it take for my ad to be online?

How can I make sure that my ad always appears at the top of the list?
You cannot. We try to ensure that the probability of an ad appearing at the top of the list is the same for each advertiser.

Can I post the same ad in multiple locations?
Each ad may only be posted in a single location. This must be the location in which the item is being sold/service is offered/job is based. If an item being sold/service offered/job is based in a different country, please select “international” as the location.

Where can I advertise my services?
Ads for services must be posted in the “Services” section, in the category that best matches the service you are offering.

How do I flag an inappropriate ad?
There is a set of links in the top right-hand corner of every ad. Click on the link that best identifies the problem with the ad:
• miscategorised – the ad appears in the wrong category.
• spam – the ad has been posted several times in different categories or locations.
• prohibited – the ad is illegal or does not comply with our Terms of Use.
If the ad receives a sufficient number of flags, it will be recategorised/deleted as appropriate.
If the issue is particularly serious, contact us immediately, and we will delete the ad as soon as possible. Don’t forget to include the ad number so that we can find it quickly.

How do I reply to an ad?
Find the ad which interests you and click on the “Contact by email” link in the top left- hand corner. Complete the contact form, with your name, email address and message. Then click “Send to the advertiser”.

What is a 'Image verification code'?
An
Image verification code
is a randomly generated 5 character code (mixture of letters and numbers). It helps us prevent spambots from automatically uploading thousands of fake ads to our website, thereby maintaining its quality.
